Here's a list of organizations, businesses and programs offering free backpacks for kids going back to school in the fall.
McDonald’s restaurants in Arizona will host Backpack Saturday on July 27, a statewide event that will give away 28,000 backpacks and help thousands of children get ready for school! McDonald’s restaurants will begin distributing the FREE backpacks beginning at 8 a.m. on July 27th. The first 100 children that visit their local McDonald’s restaurant will receive a FREE backpack.

Back 2 School Bash

Location: Tucson Convention Center
Exhibition Hall A, B & C
There are many activities and events at the B2SB13. All events are geared toward children who are in grades kindergarten through 12th.
Over 5,000 backpacks will be given out, each filled with useful school supplies.
Free Haircuts to school-aged boys and girls
Health assessments
Raffle and door prizes
Free food and concessions
Local police and firefighters will be giving tours of their vehicles
